Today I’ll share the final part of the Quilt Block 1 instructions, pictures, and diagrams, plus the final completed chart.
The final area is a lovely pattern called floral cross. It’s stitched in several stages.
First I stitched the straight stitches with the darkest color of Silk Lame’ Braid, SL80.
Next I stitched the straight stitches between the “skeleton” of the darker color. I used four strands of the Mandarin floss for this step, M910.
Next I added diagonal stitches with Silk Lame’ Braid, SL24.
The final step was to stitch cross stitches over the intersections of the “skeleton”, with fine metallic braid, Kreinik #8 007HL.
I’m really pleased with the final result of this little quilt block-inspired project!
Here are the step by step diagrams:

Finally, stitch cross stitches with the fine metallic braid over the intersections of the first step:

This has been fun for me, and I hope it has been for you as well. The next project will start soon!
