Are you ready for a Beach Vacation?

I know I’m ready for a beach vacation – sand in the toes, relaxing under a big umbrella, waves gently lapping, walking the shoreline looking for treasures – can I leave today?

Well, I can’t go today, but we can all stitch the essence of a beach vacation with June’s Kit of the Month. This month’s project features stitched seashells in two different sizes, sand dollars, colorful coral, and a large glass pearl. The border is a Milanese variation, and I’ve finished it all with a seashell printed fabric.

The kit includes an 8″ x 8″ square of Aquamarine mono deluxe 18 ct. canvas, with taped edges; full skeins of Caron Collection Watercolours 130 Eggshell, Wildflowers 031 Rose Quartz and Waterlilies 144 Pomegranate; a 6mm glass pearl; a size 22 tapestry needle and either a size 24 or 26 tapestry needle for applying the pearl, and complete instructions.

And we also have the finishing kit available: 1 square of 6″ x 6″ matboard, 1 square of 6″ x 6″ matboard with an approximately 4″ square window, 2 pieces of seashell printed fabric 8″ x 8″, and a piece of 5″ square quilt batting. The finishing kit does not include glue or twisted cord.

We have everything in house and ready to ship today! The complete kit is $32.25, the finishing kit is $10 and both ship together in a flat rate Priority Mail envelope for $7.75. Total is $40 for the kit without finishing kit, $50 for the kit and finishing kit.

A note about the overdyed threads: the dye lots may look different than my stitched model, but they are beautiful and easy to work with. We think you’ll be pleased!
