Do you delight in Jean Hilton “twisty” stitches? Treasured Stitches celebrates these kinds of stitches in a jewel box setting.
Teaching objectives:

- Work with various thread textures to highlight stitch features
- Examine the structure of complex stitches to promote ease and confidence in execution
The stitches may seem familiar, but this project examines them in a different light to present a new challenge. Rich textures of silk, silk/metallic braids, ribbon and metallic threads deliver a luxurious look and feel for this treasure box of stitches.
Stitches include waffle, sprat’s heads, Amadeus, Milanese pinwheel, crescents, double fan doubled, Kitty’s double fan doubled, mistake stitch, Chilly Hollow, Jessica, walneto, 12 pointed star, pavilion diamonds, trellis, and couching.
