For centuries, people have decorated their homes during the winter season with holly. This enduring evergreen with glossy dark green leaves and bright red berries is a perfect addition to any holiday or winter decor.
Our Holly Jolly is a quick stitch project, so you still have time to stitch it and finish it to use this year. The leaves are satin stitched with two colors of silk floss, Rainbow Gallery Splendor S829 Lite Christmas Green and S1142 Dark Christmas Green, surrounded with a border of round Rhodes stitched with Rainbow Gallery Splendor S820 Ruby Red. Kreinik’s Facets 009 Emerald forms the holly sprig and the center veins of the leaves, and bright red crystal berries add the perfect blingy touch.
The kit includes full cards of the Splendor threads, a full package of 12 flat back crystals in Lite Siam, size SS34, and enough Facets to complete the project, along with a size 22 tapestry needle. The canvas is 18 ct. eggshell mono deluxe, line drawn with taped edges.
To make this quick stitch project even speedier, we have a finishing kit so you can finish the project exactly as Debbie did! The finishing kit includes 2 8″ x 8″ squares of the printed holly leaves fabric, 1 5″ x 5″ square of batting, 1 6″ x 6″ square of mounting board, and 1 6″ x 6″ square of mounting board with a 4″ x 4″ window.
