Every year I try to design a free ornament to say thank you. This year’s design started out differently, but morphed into this. The plan was for this to be the upper left corner, but after I stitched I liked it so much I expanded it to the entire ornament. To me it looks like very elegant, expensive gift wrap, so I finished it to look like a present.
The design is a floral cross pattern, and it’s easily adapted to be smaller. Not everyone needs a 4″ x 4″ ornament, so if you need it smaller the instructions are in the chart.
I included the finishing instructions in the chart as well. It took me about 4 hours start to finish, so I hope you’ll find this quick to stitch for your group’s ornament exchange, to keep or to give away. Feel free to use your own colors to suit your own decor.
