Blue Bonnet Studios is a wonderful stitching retreat in the Houston area, entering their 11 year, and I’m so pleased to be teaching for them in 2022!

A whole slate of fabulous teachers and a range of techniques make this a most successful stitching retreat! The dates are February 19-22, 2022, at the Sugarland Marriott Town Square. If you’d like to attend, get your hotel reservation made now – the special room rate for Blue Bonnet Studios expires in a couple of weeks. You have more time to make your decision about which class or classes you’d like to take.
I’ll be teaching 2 classes, Tribute and Rondo. Here’s a bit of info about each of them, or read more on the Blue Bonnet website.
Tribute is a nice size project, with loads of Jean Hilton stitches. The project size is 10″ x 10″, canvas will be cut 16″ x 16″ with taped edges. The kit includes DMC cotton flosses, DMC #8 pearl cottons, Caron Collections Watercolours, Kreinik #4 and #8 braids, Rainbow Gallery Silk Lame’ Braid and Neon Rays, and loads of beads in a couple of different sizes.
Rondo is smaller, 8″ x 8″, canvas cut size 14″ x 14″ with taped edges. Kit contents include DMC cotton flosses, DMC #8 pearl cottons, Caron Collection Watercolours, Kreinik #8 Braids and Facets, Rainbow Gallery Silk Lame’ Braid, Frosty Rays and Neon Rays, and glass seed beads from Mill Hill and Sundance Beads. This project is available in a choice of color ways – the original blue/yellow/green, or grayscale with either blue, yellow or green accents.
If you’re not ready to travel, or concerned about weather preventing you from getting to Sugarland, these classes can be ghosted. Contact Mary Alice Sinton for more info about this, if you’d like to take either or both of these classes but can’t attend in person.
I hope you’ll join me for a wonderful time! I’ve been to this area several times (my mom lives close by) and there’s loads of shopping, places to eat near by. Plus, we all know the Houston area is renowned for several stitching shops – plan to come early or stay later so you can increase your stash!
