As promised, another stitch along to close out the year! For this one I’ve already designed it so I know where I’m going, but I’ll reveal only one stitch at a time so you can be surprised!
I’ve based my color palette on Caron Collection 238 Glowing Embers, and pulled a Watercolours and a Waterlilies from my stash. I don’t know which of these I’ll use, but it was a good jumping off point to pick out colors.

In Glowing Embers I pulled out 5 color groups – pumpkin, dark green, burgundy, dark red and royal blue. These rich saturated colors seem perfect for the fall season. I pulled a pearl cotton and shaded cotton flosses in each of the color groups. I’ve also added some sparkly threads in each of the color groups – Neon Rays for a shine without metallic, Silk Lame’ Braid for a medium sparkle, and Kreinik #8 braids for more sparkle.
All of these colors work well for the 18 ct. Sandstone canvas I’ve selected. The finished design size is about 5″ by 5″, so I cut my canvas 11″ x 11″ to allow 3″ on each side of the design.
This stitch along should move a little faster than the last one – fewer stitches, and more time on my part.
So go stash diving, find your colors, mount your canvas, and the first stitch will be posted later this week!

How do I get signed up and receive updates as they come out?
Linda, we don’t have an official sign up but I do post to my blog as the instructions are written, plus I try to include in my emails to my list. I’ll do some further checking and get back to you.
