Fandango
It’s no great secret that I love Jean Hilton stitches. These new classes will hopefully help you love them too!
Mostly Crescents focuses on crescent stitches, and Fandango explores all kinds of fan stitches. These stitches can sometimes be intimidating, and I try to make them easier by understanding the structure and how they’re stitched.
A few months ago we did Mostly Amadeus, another class in this series.
These new classes are the same size, and offered in the same four color ways.
The Bold option features orange, purple and turquoise threads on Aquamarina canvas.
The Grayscale option shades gray to black, with red accents on pewter canvas.
The Monochromatic option combines shades of beiges to browns on eggshell canvas.
The Pastel colors of blue, pink, lavender and yellow pop against antique blue canvas.
You also have the option of selecting instructions only, to devise your own color way or stitch from stash, and if you’ve taken either class before and have the materials, you can participate by auditing the class.
Whichever option you select, all students will receive access to the video stitch diagrams, which can be reviewed as many times as needed while you stitch. And, we’ll include weekly Zoom sessions for the 6 weeks of classes; hopefully we’ll have a couple of options on time for the Zoom sessions, and at least one session a week will be recorded for those who can’t join us for the live sessions.
Online lessons will be posted to augment the instructions, and I’ll be there to help every step of the way.
We are taking registrations now on the website, and you’ll see all the options and payment choices when you click on the links. Just look under the “online classes” tab. You can sign up for both classes or one; the classes will be conducted separately but on the same time frame.
Registration is open until August 9, and classes are scheduled to begin the week of October 18. We’ll finish up around Thanksgiving or a little after.
