Fandango class through Shining Needle Society

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

SKU: T-020 Category:

Fandango examines fans, double fans, double fan doubleds, and variations with a thorough grounding in the nature of these fan stitches. Our class focuses on the structure and similarities of these stitches, to take the fear out of these Jean Hilton swirly stitches.

These stitches can appear intimidating, but once you understand the nature of them you can stitch them quickly and confidently. We’ll stitch double fans, double fan doubleds in different shapes and with different threads, Kitty’s double fan doubled, and plaited rays, and accented with other stitches.

Fandango is a companion to Mostly Amadeus,  Mostly Crescents, Mostly Walnetos, Mostly Jessicas and Mostly Herringbone. Choose from Bold (orange/purple/turquoise on Aquamarina canvas), Grayscale (grays with red accents on pewter canvas), Monochromatic (beiges to browns on eggshell canvas) or Pastel (blue/pink/lavender/yellow on antique blue canvas), or select the instructions only option to devise your own color way or stitch from your stash.

Kit contents:

  • 18 ct. mono deluxe canvas with taped edges, cut size 10″ x 18″
  • DMC #8 or Presencia #8 pearl cotton
  • DMC cotton flosses
  • Kreinik #8 Braids
  • Size 22 tapestry needles

Students will need 1 pair of 10″ and 1 pair of 18″ stretcher bars, tacks or staples, usual stitching supplies, laying tool.

Design size is 4 1/4″ x 12″, 76 stitches x 216 stitches.

Recommended for stitchers very comfortable with counting and reading charts; if you’re new to counted canvas don’t worry – we’ll help every step of the way!

This class is offered as a catch-up class in conjunction with Mostly Herringbone. Fandango stitchers may join the Mostly Herringbone Zoom sessions, and ask any questions at the end of the Mostly Herringbone sessions.

I stitched this design through Shining Needle and thoroughly enjoyed the whole project. I have now framed it. The instructions were so clear and thorough

  2. Jane Tanner (verified owner)

I did the bright colorway so that it matched the others that I have done. A great project with great directions!

  3. Fran

This was my first Debbie class and I fell in love with her designs and teaching method. Project was not difficult with the very clear instructions. Good for a beginner with videos to show even how to start and end a stitch, plus so much more!
