Mostly Crescents focuses on a single type of stitch, crescents. This is a “string-art” type of stitch, and there are certain principles that apply to stitching all crescents. This class offers a thorough understanding of the structure of these stitches, so you can stitch quickly and more confidently when you encounter them in other projects.
We’ll explore several different sizes and shapes of crescents: nautilus crescents, crescents with a tail, layered crescents, teardrop crescents, infinity crescents, fleur de lis crescents, and other shapes. The project is accented with additional stitches like waffle stitches and fans.
Mostly Crescents is offered in four color ways: Bold (orange/purple/turquoise on Aquamarina canvas), Grayscale (grays with red accents on pewter canvas), Monochromatic (beiges to browns on eggshell canvas) or Pastel (blue/pink/lavender/yellow on antique blue canvas). The kit contains DMC flosses, DMC #8 pearl cottons, DMC Satin Floss, and Kreinik #8 Braids. The canvas will have taped edges. Mostly Crescents is a companion piece to Mostly Amadeus (offered previously) and Fandango (registering now with SNS). Other companion pieces will be offered next year.
The instruction book is thorough, over 100 pages, and the class is augmented with 13 stitch video demonstrations that students will be able to review as needed. In addition, weekly Zoom sessions will provide “face-to-face” instruction with Debbie; at least one Zoom session per week will be recorded for participants unable to join the “live” sessions.

I love all of Debbie’s designs; but this one definitely spoke to me. I used the monochrome colorway (the browns), and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The excellent charts make even the most difficult-looking stitches attainable. This wasn’t my first Debbie project; and it won’t be my last!

This piece was a fabulous class. I enjoyed learning all of the crescents and stretched my comfort zone with learning the outstanding Nautilus Crescent. I stitched it in the colorway of grays, black, and red to match the Mostly Amadeus class that I also took from Debbie. Debbie’s diagrams are very precise and easy to read. Her classes online have very helpful videos that you can refer back to again and again as needed.
Debbie’s teaching style is helpful and friendly. Her designs are stunning and you always learn so much from her classes.

Great class and design! One of 4 Debbie classes I have taken. Each of them wonderful. This design goes great with Fandango and Amadeus, all three which I have framed together, since they are the same size and colorway. A beautiful design, directions are the most complete I have ever worked from. A beginner could do this given the great videos, lessons, and instructions.
