The winter sun casts Winter Shadows in a cold and gray palette. Isn’t it fun when we see a pop of color?
Winter Shadows features an inside-out border, composed of diagonal broad cross, oblong overlapping crosses, laid ribbon and herringbone, with a different stitch in each corner: Victorian step, woven ribbons, Brighton and scotch with Byzantine. I chose ThreadworX overdyed cotton and overdyed metallic, with a couple of solid colors, all on pewter canvas.

This project is small, only 4″ x 4″ (like the other Year of Color projects), perfect for any finish you like. I chose a Rachel Barri self-finishing 5″ x 5″ jewelry box in white.
