Have you heard – we’ll be starting another class with Shining Needle Society after the first of the year! But, the time to register for this class is now!
We have complete instructions with the registration process on the website, so I won’t repeat everything here. It’s important to note, however, that we have to complete registration the day before Thanksgiving, so we can place our orders for supplies and hope to receive them after the turn of the year, so we can ship the kits, so we can start the class. So don’t delay in registering!
We are offering the class with complete kits in four color ways: Autumn, Coral/Lilac, Neutral/Mauve, or Tropical.
The kits contain a 14″ x 14″ piece of 18 ct. canvas with taped edges (eggshell for the Coral/Lilac or Neutral/Mauve color ways, sandstone for the Autumn color way, or white for the Tropical color way.) All threads are included – DMC flosses, DMC #8 pearl cottons, Kreinik #8 braids, Caron Collection Watercolours, and Rainbow Gallery Silk Lame’ Braid, Neon Rays and Neon Rays+.
Indie Pop allows the stitcher to make the decisions – which motif goes where, what color to use, how many strands, which texture. If you really want to fly solo, choose the chart only option, or chart with canvas (eggshell, sandstone or white). If you’ve taken the class before, you can audit the class.
We’ll have 5 weekly lessons and Zoom sessions, plus video stitch demonstrations, and extensive written instructions with thorough diagrams. We hope to ship kits shortly after the holidays, begin class the week of January 12, and end the week of February 14.

I took Indie Pop this past January with Shining Needle Society. The piece was so much fun to stitch and so many different stitches were offered that I could choose from. Debbie’s classes are interesting and she gives you a chance to ask any questions you have, both in class and on the class site. Her instructions are easy to follow and well written. Better than all of that, Debbie has the clearest, well-done videos! She make some of the more difficult stitches easy to do with her video instruction!
I would happily take any classes with her , knowing they will be enjoyable and that my end result will be beautiful!
