Please don’t share the chart, but if you have friends who would like to have their own chart for stitching direct them to the website. You may print off the chart, a copy for your personal use, or save it to your computer, again for personal use.
The design is a simple one, but I love the look of graduated crescents to form a tree. I topped my tree with a shiny gold star, put packages under the tree, and added shiny red and green crystals for decorations.
This ornament is quick to stitch and finish! My idea of the perfect ornament is one I can do in an evening or two, since I usually have forgotten I have to have an ornament for an exchange until a couple of days before. I made a flat finish, edged with purchased gold cording from a big box store that I had leftover from something else.
I used Rainbow Gallery Silk Lame’ Braid SL02 White and FyreWerks FT14 Vatican Gold for the stitching, and hot fix crystals for the decorations. I think other threads could be used as well, or other canvas colors, or other embellishments like beads, tiny buttons or even small charms. Time to go stash diving!
Or, if you’d like the convenience, we have a complete kit available as well! The kit includes the 18 ct. Victorian Red mono deluxe canvas with taped edges, 6″ x 6″; full cards of the Rainbow Gallery threads; SS30 hot fix crystals in dark green and light siam, enough to use one or the other color, or a mix of both like I did; a size 22 needle; 2 pieces of mat board 3″ x 4″ and festive printed cotton fabric with red swirls and gold holly leaves for finishing. Glue and cording are not included, or a printed chart, since the chart is a free download.
