I loved jumping in a pile of leaves in the fall! My dad probably not so much since we scattered all his hard work raking!
These leaves don’t need raking! They’ll conveniently stay in place with your fall decor. There are even acorns attached!
Our November kit was so much fun to create. And, it was fun to stitch as well, and didn’t take more than 4-5 hours. Plenty of time to add this little decoration with your other fall items, before it’s time to bring out the holiday stuff!
The kit includes ThreadworX #8 Overdyed Pearl Cotton and Cotton Floss, full skeins of #8 810371 Rich Chocolate and 81044 Chili Peppers, and Cotton Floss 010271 Harvest Gold, 010343 Cayenne Pepper, 01042 Desert Sunset and 01043 Fantasy Island. A Glaciart 1cm wool felt ball is included for padding the acorns, and there’s even a needle so you can start stitching right away.
The canvas is screen printed with thermoreactive ink. All that means is, if you have any lines visible after stitching, you can iron them (the thermo part of the reactive) and they’ll fade to almost invisible. The lines make the stitching so easy, not as much counting! We used 18 ct. mono deluxe Eggshell canvas, and even taped the edges for you. All you need is stretcher bars, 2 pairs of 8″, with tacks and scissors.
We know how busy things are this time of year for everyone, so we also have our finishing kit, beautifully leaf printed cotton fabric, with mat board. Full instructions are in the leaflet for a flat finish (glue and cording not included; I used skeins of DMC 780, 782, 839 and 900 to make the cording).
After you’ve stitched and made the flat fold, pop it into the matching display stand, and you’ve got a quick finished project, ready for display!
