Have you registered for Angles and Mostly Amadeus yet?

Just a heads up that registration will be closing on October 31 for Mostly Amadeus and Angles. I need the extra time for ordering supplies, since all of the suppliers are back up, operating on limited resources and personnel, and having trouble getting their supplies in.

I thought I’d also answer a few questions I’ve been receiving about the registration procedure and what is involved.

What’s included in a class kit:

When you register for class and request a full kit, you will receive canvas with bound edges, all the threads, an instruction book with written instructions and diagrams, and needles. You will not receive stretcher bars or a laying tool. A complete kit for Mostly Amadeus is $165, and a complete kit for Angles is $190. The fee includes postage, admin costs to Shining Needle Society, and teaching fee.

If you would prefer instructions only, you will receive the instruction book. I hope to mail the instructions for those who have registered for instructions only shortly after the registration period closes, so you can start gathering your supplies. Instructions only option for Mostly Amadeus is $89, and for Angles is $102; this includes postage, admin costs and teaching fees.

You can also register for instructions with canvas for either class – add $15 to the class fees.

If you already have acquired the instructions and/or materials, you can register to audit. If you choose this option you will not receive any additional materials from me, but you will be a regular member of the class. Audit fee is $40 for either class, and includes teaching fee and admin costs.

All class members no matter how you registered (full kit, instructions only, instructions with canvas, or audit) will be invited to a private classroom set up on groups.io. All class members will receive links to the video stitch demonstrations and lessons posted in the classroom every week. Diagrams are posted to the classroom so you can enlarge them on your devices. And, you’ll be invited to participate in the Zoom sessions.

Zoom sessions are in addition to all the other materials, and are not essential to the class. It’s just a bonus for me to see the students, and for you to have an easy forum for asking questions. You can do the class without participating in the Zoom sessions. The sessions will be recorded and added to the playlist for each class every week, so you can see them later.
